The Blue Note

The Blue Note, a local music venue, is located near the University of Missouri campus in Columbia, Missouri. The Blue Note opened in 1980 by Richard King. The building was originally a vaudeville theater, which gives patrons of the Blue Note an unparalleled experience. From Johnny Cash to R.E.M., the Blue Note has seen outstanding acts come through their doors. If you can't afford a big name band and want to see a show, the owner of the Blue Note also owns Mojo's which has been host to numerous smaller-name bands.
