Gary Pinkel has been the head coach of the Missouri Tigers for nine years. With back-to-back Big 12 North Championships in 2007 and 2008,along with six bowls in seven years (including a school-record five straight bowl appearances), Gary Pinkel has put Missouri on the map for college football.

Gary Pinkel has a 67-46 record at Missouri. Prior to coming to the Tigers, Gary Pinkel coached at Toledo for 10 seasons. He compiled a 73-37-3 record there. From 1984 to 1990 he was the offensive coordinator at the University of Washington.

As a player, Gary Pinkel played tight end for Kent State from 1971 to 1973 abd was an All-American Honorable Mention. In 2007, he was Big 12 Co-Coach of the Year, leading the Tigers to a 12-2 record.
