Tyler Xavier Stone is a forward for the Missouri Tigers basketball team. Tyler Stone’s father played college ball at the University of Memphis, and was a second round draft pick of the Atlanta Hawks in 1979. Stone’s father was a huge inspiration to him, influencing him to play basketball collegiately as well.

Before joining onto the Missouri Tigers, Tyler Stone attended Central High School where he proved to be an outstanding basketball player. At Central, Stone earned All-Metro honors twice, as well as All-Area, All-Region and District 16 AAA MVP honors as a senior.

Upon graduation, Tyler Stone finished his high school career as a two-year starter at Central. Stone chose to go to Mizzou after turning down multiple offers including Houston and Middle Tennessee State.
